Born in Sweden, Jonas Erik Altberg, the lead singer of Basshunter, had always wanted to be in the euphony industry. Living the comfy life on Swedish beaches, he produced under the name Basshunter in 1999. With the many unlike sounds that Altberg has created, there have been many leaks of new singles to come. With the new sound every time, Basshunter proves to be up to date with the latest trends of Europe. Throughout his life helium suffered with Tourette’s syndrome. But that did not stop him from becoming a pop artist with plenty of ideas to improve the sound of music.
 
Basshunter is set to release their new album “Bass Generation” that will surely entertain the audiences as before of the past albums. Albums, “Now You’re Gone” and “LOL” were great albums that made the band really popular. This made them really entertaining to listen to. Basshunter has been giving new beats to unlike artist with a collaboration move with such artist like Madonna and others; Basshunter proves that you don’t always have to be alone to make music.
 
With the diagnosing of Tourette’s syndrome, the lead singer and creator of Basshunter is going to have a lot to deal with the media coverage. But the great thing is that helium overcame it throughout his life. He took control of this by not seeing it as a problem. He recognized who he was and he overcame the Tourette’s syndrome and has offered many audiences his evolutionary sound.
 
With the release of his new album in October 2009, Basshunter will show that they still have what it takes to entertain the wide variety of audiences and make their songs something that has not been heard before. With the mixture of Swedish and English on their CD’s Basshunter offers music to all audiences around the world. Even if the song is in a dissimilar language, the beat and rhythm is so great that there is no need to understand.
